Care and Cure, an integrated approach to psychosomatic medicine: the EAPM Annual Meeting

I am delighted to announce the second  conference of the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine  (EAPM) in Sibiu, Romania, 25-28 June 2014.  This meeting will  bring together an international, multi-professional line up of physicians, psychiatrists and psychologists to explore the latest advances in psychosomatic medicine and consultation liaison psychiatry.

The programme covers a diverse range of subjects: psychosomatic medicine and cultural changes,  psychosomatics in the elderly population, the brain-gut axis and psychosomatics in gastroenterology.  We welcome abstracts on a wide range of subjects for the scientific symposia and poster sessions.

The location for our conference this year is the city Sibiu, in Romania.  A 800 years old city in Central Europe, Cultural Capital of Europe in 2007. It is easy to travel to Sibiu by airplane, train or even by car. The venue is Ramada Hotel, just downtown. Some meetings will be accommodated in the neighbored rooms of the University Lucian Blaga

Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to welcome you the EAPM 2014 Meeting in Sibiu, Romania, 25-28 June.  It is important to organize such a meeting in a venue from Central and East Europe, in order to facilitate putting together specialists in all fields connected to psychosomatic medicine from this area with specialists from all the continent and even from other continents.

There is an increased amount of medical doctors, psychologists, and nurses interested in psychosomatic medicine and this will be a great opportunity to discover our work here and to tie collaborative connections.

The scientific committee has selected an excellent program that will be of interest  for you. We rely also on your active participation in order to disseminate your experience during this meeting.

Last but not least, Sibiu has a lot to offer to its visitors during the free time: exquisite medieval original architecture, beautiful environment, interesting museums, excellent gastronomy.
